AJ Styles has firmly set his sights on Cody Rhodes and the coveted Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, following a decisive victory in a high-stakes Triple Threat Match on WWE SmackDown. The seasoned wrestler emerged victorious against formidable opponents Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens, moving him one step closer to the ultimate prize in sports entertainment.

This episode also saw LA Knight further strengthened in his position, looking like a contender himself, coming off an impressive victory against Bobby Lashley and Santos Escobar. That lines up a match between Knight and Styles next week, the winner getting a shot at Rhodes' championship.

Styles, dubbed "The Phenomenal One," spoke out in a post-match interview during this week's episode of The SmackDown Lowdown with WWE correspondent Byron Saxton. He would go on to issue a rather bold warning to Knight, in which he promised him a hospital visit in their upcoming match.

And then Styles turned his attention to Rhodes with such fire in his voice, stating that he wants that Undisjsonified Universal Title more than anything in the world. "I remember how he limped away from WrestleMania after my Calf Crusher," Styles remarked about Rhodes.

"Next time, I’ll make sure he’s hospital-bound. But first, I’ll handle LA Knight. Next week, he’s mine."

Cody Rhodes Takes Charge

Since defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL, Cody Rhodes has been heralded as the new standard-bearer for WWE’s latest era.

He kicked off this week’s SmackDown with a compelling promo, touching on his recent face-off with The Rock, and declaring his readiness for any challenge. "The Final Boss," as The Rock is known, has been away from the ring, but Rhodes is prepared for whenever he decides to return.

Rhodes also addressed the lineup of competitors eager for a title shot, which now includes Styles and Knight. He issued a challenge to his future contenders, stating, "Bring your best, because taking this title from me will take everything you’ve got." As the WWE universe looks ahead, the anticipation builds not only for next week’s face-off between Styles and Knight but also for the potential showdown with Rhodes.

With the championship on the line, the stakes have never been higher, promising explosive confrontations in the ring that are sure to captivate wrestling fans worldwide.
