Even though victory has eluded her in recent bouts, WWE veteran Natalya has not let that dim her spotlight. Over the past few weeks, the seasoned wrestler has delivered commendable performances that resonate well beyond the confines of the ring.

As the daughter of Jim Neidhart and niece to the late Owen Hart, wrestling prowess runs deep in her bloodline. Last week, Natalya participated in the groundbreaking first women's NXT Underground match against Lola Vice, which garnered significant praise from fans and critics alike.

The momentum continued as she faced IYO Sky in the opening round of the Queen of the Ring tournament on this week's "Raw." The timing of the match was poignant, occurring just days before what would have been Owen Hart's birthday—a tribute Natalya heartfully dedicated to her uncle.

Despite her stellar in-ring performance, wrestling icon Bully Ray expressed a desire to see more from the former Divas and SmackDown Women's Champion. Speaking on "Busted Open Radio," Bully criticized the lack of character development in Natalya's career, suggesting that her wrestling skills, while impressive, have not translated into a compelling WWE persona.

"Nattie's a great pro wrestler," Bully remarked. "But what has she really done in the past decade? Not much, in terms of character. I find Chelsea Green's entertaining persona more appealing than Nattie Neidhart the wrestler, despite my respect for Nattie."

Bully Ray's Bold Suggestion

Bully proposed a dramatic shift for Natalya, advocating for a heel turn that would showcase her as a diva akin to a 'Housewife of New Jersey,' adding a fresh layer to her character that could captivate the audience anew.

"You don’t have to be a great pro wrestler to succeed in WWE," he added. "It’s about entertainment. Natalya has always focused on pure wrestling—training in the Dungeon, honing her craft—but what has it really done for her? We need more than just technical excellence.

We need characters that draw us in." As the wrestling world continues to evolve, the challenge for wrestlers like Natalya isn’t just about winning matches—it’s about winning over audiences with both skill and charisma.

Whether she will take up Bully's challenge or carve her own path remains to be seen. Meanwhile, her recent performances have certainly reminded fans and critics alike of her unwavering dedication to the sport.
