Jon Moxley, the reigning IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, once again demonstrated his resilience at NJPW Resurgence, where he successfully defended his title against the menacing House of Torture. However, the victory was short-lived as Moxley was blindsided by a post-match assault from the faction, sparking a fiery promise from the champion in response.

Taking to social media, Moxley delivered a charged statement. "One day, somebody's going to hit me and I'm not going to get back up. It could happen this summer, tomorrow, or even on my way back to the airport tonight. But that man is not going to be you, Evil," Moxley declared, addressing the leader of the House of Torture directly.

His disdain for the faction was palpable as he continued, "I have zero respect for Evil and the House of Torture and the way they conduct their business. I will free New Japan Pro Wrestling of the scourge that is the House of Torture, or I will die trying."

Faction War Looms

Moxley's bold proclamation did not end there.

He hinted at escalating tensions, suggesting that if the House of Torture is seeking faction warfare, they will indeed get it. While he did not specify his allies, it's widely speculated that his references point towards Bryan Danielson, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli of the Blackpool Combat Club.

With the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 3 event, the stage is set for a potential explosive showdown between these wrestling powerhouses. The stakes have never been higher for Moxley since he claimed the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Windy City in April by defeating Tetsuya Naito.

Moxley has often spoken of winning the title as a lifelong dream realized. However, his triumph has unmistakably made him a marked man in the eyes of many within the wrestling world. As tensions mount and alliances form, the wrestling community watches with bated breath.

Will Moxley's vow to cleanse New Japan Pro Wrestling of its nefarious elements spark a new era, or will it lead him into a deeper conflict? Only time will tell, but one thing is clear: Jon Moxley is not backing down from any challenge.
