Former Marine Montez Ford, a WWE Superstar, recently donned his ring gear for a special visit to the Marines at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville before his appearance on WWE SmackDown. Born Kenneth Crawford, he joined the U.S.

Marine Corps even before his wrestling career began to take off. He decided not to re-enlist because of his commitment to family and began pursuing a wrestling career. An established WWE superstar, Ford is a member of The Pride faction, along with Bobby Lashley and Angelo Dawkins, but he is still a core member of The Street Profits—the duo that will always be the face of the fans.

His recent naval base visit further solidifies his presence within the military and rekindles the relationship with the servicemen and women for whom he remains thankful for their service.

Ford Honors Military Roots

Ford shared the experience in a post on his Instagram account: "This past Thursday before SmackDown, I had the pleasure of visiting some of our servicemen & women at the Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville!

As a veteran, these visits are deeply meaningful to me. It's an honor to be able to show my appreciation toward our military." Ford's post continued, highlighting the support of WWE and the USO in organizing these visits. "Thanks to the personnel for taking time off from your training to attend to us, and continue to push forward.

Thanks again @WWE & @theuso for the continued partnership and making these visits & events possible. To many more, God Bless you all," he wrote. In addition to his wrestling career, Ford has expressed interest in potentially stepping into the UFC ring, discussing this prospect with WWE's President, Nick Khan.

Regardless of where his career takes him next, Ford's allegiance to the Marine Corps remains a core part of his identity. Ford’s gesture of visiting the Marines not only highlights his personal journey from the military to the WWE but also reflects his ongoing commitment to giving back to the community that shaped him.

As Ford continues to entertain wrestling fans worldwide, his actions off the ring resonate deeply with those who serve and have served, showcasing the profound bond shared among veterans.
