A month ago, the well-known site Fightful Select, with a transcript of Donne Tra Le Corde, reported that Natalya's contract with WWE would expire naturally in the next two months and still an agreement between the two parties had not been found, exactly as happened to Becky Lynch.

And now, a month later, Fightful Select has given us an important update. In fact, it started by saying that Natalya has not yet signed an official renewal with WWE, but the two parties are still in negotiations, which is obviously positive.

But it doesn't end there, because apparently a further indication of the fact that the Canadian could stay lies in the fact that lately we have seen her both in NXT and in the main roster, with the wrestler who has Raw also teased a change, which could keep her anchored to the federation for a while longer.

Be careful though, because even if WWE is interested in re-signing her, there is a lot of interest in her in other federations, but also from projects outside of professional wrestling. Additionally, with the Owen Hart Cup Tournament starting in AEW soon, there is a possibility that Natalya could opt out and head to All Elite Wrestling to compete in that tournament.

AEW sources have not commented on whether this could happen, however, the timing is interesting and will be something to keep an eye on.

Natalya is a true champion

Speaking on Busted Open, Natalya spoke about the possibility of joining WWE's writing team once her in-ring career comes to an end, with husband TJ Wilson currently working as a producer for the promotion, especially for the women's division.

"I'll tell you, our writing team has an incredibly demanding job. My husband TJ always says this, he always says, 'Nobody understands how hard it is to book the show.' TJ is a producer and he works very closely with the writers and behind the scenes.

He always says, 'You never know when someone's going to get injured or get COVID or whatever they're going through.' I think writers have such a demanding job because there are so many people you’re trying to please.

I’ll be honest, sometimes, there’s a lot of ego involved because everyone wants to be the best of the best. Everyone wants to win, protect their legacy, be on top. Everyone wants to main event WrestleMania and be The One.

Sometimes, you need a bride, and sometimes, you need a bridesmaid. Writers have an extremely demanding job. Never say never. For me, I have a lot of really fun things coming up that involve writing, creating, and me celebrating my career and everything I’ve accomplished. Never say never as long as I can do more in WWE, but I’m so excited to grow. 2024 is a year of growth”.
