In what could mark the end of his WWE career, Ricochet has reportedly made his final appearance in the ring, following a tumultuous exit during the latest WWE RAW event. Sources including PWInsider have revealed that Ricochet informed WWE of his decision to not renew his contract, which is set to expire this summer.

Fightful reports that WWE's creative team had been crafting a storyline to phase him out gracefully a plan that came to fruition on Monday night. The episode took a dramatic turn when Bron Breakker ambushed Ricochet and Ilja Dragunov backstage.

Although his initial spear attack was dodged by Dragunov, Breakker's aggression found its mark on Ricochet, culminating in a brutal altercation that spilled into the Huntington Center parking lot. The melee ended with Ricochet being slammed into a car windshield by Breakker, an act that left him needing medical attention.

He was swiftly stretchered away and transported from the venue, managing only a thumbs up to the audience, a gesture of resilience in the face of severe suspected back injuries.

CM Punk's Cryptic Comment

Amidst this chaos, Ricochet’s partner, Samantha Irvin, remained by his side, supporting him through what was potentially his last WWE moment.

Further stirring the pot, CM Punk, a fellow wrestler known for his sharp tongue, left a cryptic comment on WWE’s social media post of the incident. His one word comment, "RIP ochet," has been interpreted as a sly nod to Ricochet’s rumored move to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), a transition not endorsed by Punk.

This potential switch comes after a career at WWE that began promisingly in 2018 when Ricochet joined the NXT division. He quickly ascended, securing the NXT North American Championship and later, the NXT Tag Team Championship with Aleister Black.

His main roster debut in 2019 led to victories including the United States Championship and the Intercontinental Championship. Despite these achievements and recently becoming WWE’s inaugural Speed Champion, Ricochet's utilization in mid card roles, often to enhance other talents, hinted at underuse a factor possibly contributing to his decision to depart.
