WWE just announced that cruiserweight superstar, Rey Mysterio will be returning to action for the RAW episode that will take place on Monday. They did not tell what his segment will be or what he is coming back for though. We saw Rey Mysterio perform on WWE TV in June the last time.
He had to give up his US title as he suffered a separated left shoulder. Samoa Joe was the US Champion after that. Mysterio spoke about his injury on the WINCLY podcast last month. "An unfortunate thing happened in the ring at MITB," Mysterio said.
"When you're in their full action and full adrenaline, you have know idea of the referee's count or if he's even aware that the opponent is grabbing the rope while he's doing the pin. Nine out of 10 times the ref is right on spot, but this wasn't the occasion”.
Mysterio stated that he saw that Joe’s should was off the ground before the three count ended on the replay. He stated that the aftermath was the one that caused a separated left shoulder. He had to take time off to recover and he claimed to be doing PRP and rotation movements to recover.
He was trying to get back in June or July. On Raw, we will see Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch wrestle Andrade and Zelina Vega. Shane McMahon will team up with Drew McIntyre to take on Roman Reigns and his partner, which Shane McMahon will choose.
