Drew McIntyre is definitely one of the WWE characters that the company is banking on the most, so much so that they have now put him as the main face of their next PLE that will air this weekend: Clash at the Castle, just like in the first edition of the same ppv.

In recent years, McIntyre has had an incredible rise in WWE, from his first title won at WrestleMania against Brock Lesnar, in an arena completely emptied of fans due to the covid that had begun to devastate countries after countries, up to the last title won just a few months ago in the 40th edition of the Showcase of the Immortals.

Now Drew has once again entered the history of world wrestling, being called to enter the Scottish Wrestling Hall of Fame, the Ark of Glory of his hometown, where he is the only wrestler still active to have received this honor.

Congratulations to the Glasgow psychopath for this great result, which once again demonstrates his great qualities inside and outside the WWE rings.

New details on Drew McIntyre

Following the latest rumors that his WWE contract is expiring, Drew McIntyre has confirmed that he has extended his deal with WWE and TKO to stay in the company’s ring.

Speaking exclusively to PWInsider, the Scottish Warrior said that he never considered leaving WWE for another company, with his family being the first to think about it. “I never considered not wrestling in WWE,” Drew McIntyre said.

“Or I never thought, ‘Do I want to go and wrestle somewhere else?’ I was like, ‘This is where I want to wrestle, and I don’t want to be anywhere else.’” Getting a little more personal, he continued, “But our [his and his wife’s] family has been through a lot in the last year.

Aside from my own family stuff, my wife’s sister sadly passed away a year ago yesterday and it was tough. And I felt like I had to take some time off to be with my family. There was a time where I thought I should take a little break and come back, I had some uncertainty, but thankfully I surrounded myself with my family and WWE gave me the time that I needed whenever I needed it during that time.

And ultimately, as a family, we came together and talked about what was best for us. The company has been incredible in that regard and thankfully we are all OK right now”.
