The Undertaker has cleared the air on his retirement from wrestling saying although he is not planning to wrestle again he is willing to perform in cameo roles within the WWE fraternity. This was well captured during his short but memorable stint at WrestleMania 40 where he had an influential part to play in one of the main events of the event.

During the professional wrestling match aired this April, The Undertaker suddenly interfered with the main story of the event. He helped Cody Rhodes fight The Bloodline and produced a stunning chokeslam on The Great One Rock.

This was the turning point towards the end when Rhodes triumphed over Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

The Undertaker's Reflection

The Undertaker addressed his emotions after his cameo in the video and he also spoke about his willingness to step in the ring again in an interview with Ins Site with Chris Van Vliet.

However, he reaffirmed his resignation from wrestling and emphasized that he would not wrestle again during the WWE WrestleMania appearance. “Yeah, I could do it. I couldn’t do it to the standard that I wanted to do it,” he admitted.

Nevertheless, some segments were left, and he seemed rather pleased with what he got at WrestleMania 40, which he sees as the perfect ending to his wrestling career. Despite this, The Undertaker retired from in-ring competition after a ‘Boneyard Match’ against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36, which was his last match.

The next years were not very easy for him as he struggled to come to terms with the fact that he can no longer wrestle but the latest wrestle mania appearance has given him the closure that he had been looking for. Ever since The Undertaker retired from wrestling, he hasn’t taken a back seat when it comes to the spotlight.

He has started a series of podcasts and has taken his one-man show tour across the globe to share experiences and success stories. Subsequently, in 2022, his accomplishments in wrestling were honoured by his inclusion in the WWE Hall of Fame.

While The Undertaker remains a highly regarded wrestler who is not willing to step into the ring one more time to test himself against the best talents in WWE, his willingness to perform at future WWE events as a character makes the fans continue to reminisce about his wrestling career.

He remains a symbol even beyond the wrestling ring, impacts new generations and captures the hearts of fans around the world.
