The Undertaker, known for his iconic presence and legendary career in WWE, has earned a long list of wins, honors and titles over the course of his thirty-year career. However, there are episodes that happened to him in the ring that took him by surprise: one of them saw him starring with Brock Lesnar, and Deadman admitted that that specific segment was not present in the plans agreed between the two athletes and the WWE itself.

It all began in 2014, when at one of the most shocking moments in the history of wrestling Brock Lesnar ended The Undertaker’s Streak in Wrestlemania XXX. The Phenom sought revenge by attacking The Beast during his match against Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Battleground 2015, creating the conditions for their rematch after almost a year and a half.

At SummerSlam 2015, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker faced each other once again. During their intense encounter there was a curtain that gave the match to the legend: at some point in their battle, Lesnar laughed sarcastically in the face of the Deadman, who in response did the same with a furious expression at the same time, threatening and incredibly funny.

The whole almost surpassed the very outcome of the dispute (which rewarded in a controversial way the Gravedigger), turning into a meme that still rages on the web.

The Undertaker opens up on Brock Lesnar

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, The Undertaker decided to tell some background on his battle with Brock Lesnar.

In particular, he revealed that his colleague and opponent had foretold him to want to laugh in his face during their match while the two were consulting to prepare the match, but at that time did not give proper weight to his words.

Then, when action was taken, he found himself faced with a fait accompli not knowing exactly how to behave. For this reason the viral commercial in which he laughed after The Beast Incarnate was authentic, and not really planned.

"That was Brock Lesnar’s idea - said Undertaker -. We were talking a little bit about the match we were going to have, and he suggested a time when he would laugh at me. But I guess I didn’t pay enough attention to what he really wanted to do.

So, when he did, I was almost a little surprised. Like, "What are you laughing at, "What are you laughing at?**". And then I realized what he was doing".
