Top Tag Team May Have Quit Impact Wrestling

It is a widely known fact that Impact Wrestling is not doing very well these days. Gone are the days where they had legendary wrestlers working for them. They are surviving and they still produce some high quality matches, but they are not very popular now.

Even their deal with Pursuit hasn’t bought them good results. Slammiversary XVII PPV took place last weekend. During the event, The North (Ethan Page and Josh Alexander) defended their Impact World Tag Team Titles against LAX and Rascalz.

Santana had to leave the match near the end of it due to an injury, which was actually part of the plan. According to a report by F4WOnline, this was the last match that Santana and Ortiz competed in for Impact Wrestling. The announcement has not been made so far.

It has been reported that the WWE and All Elite Wrestling are interested in signing Santana and Ortiz. The WWE just want to sign as many people as they possibly can according to reports and the AEW wants to sign the best tag teams to build its tag team division.

Santana and Ortiz joined LAX in March of 2017. They won the Impact Tag Team Titles 4 times. They held the tag titles for 261 days, which is the longest reign in the history of Impact Wrestling. They also have combined reign of 662 days which nobody has been able to achieve so far.
