WWE Money in the Bank 2024 coming live from Toronto, top Ms. Money in the Bank contender Tiffany Stratton has lingering woes on her mind They stem from a social media debacle in May 2024 that rocked her then-fledgling career. During a recent interview with journalist Adrian Hernandez, Stratton spoke to the matter of his controversy-courting Instagram post that many accused him of being racially insensitive over.

"I didn't actually listen to the audio," Stratton said in an interview. Within 20 seconds, the post lived. When I found out what else it was playing, I ripped it off. That really was a mistake and unintentional.

The post in question was a clip that Stratton re-shared, produced by the fan. The moment saw her in the heat of tag team battle where she famously bumped former WWE Women's Team Champion Jade Cargill off of the ring apron. Offensive audio, including a reference to Cargill and his race that is derogatory in nature.was played over the video. The video was soon deleted by Stratton, but not before word spread like wildfire as fans and critics alike fought over the emotions stirred up.

No Official Reprimand

Stratton would not be officially reprimanded by WWE officials, in spite of the ensuing outcry. During this time, she took part in a match on'd WWE SmackDown against Bianca Belair and did not win before being absent from television appearances for over one month a stark change of pace to her usual busy schedule since transitioning from the sister brand "WWE NXT."

She competed in the women's Money in the Bank ladder match which took place on June 28. Her return would seemingly suggest she's walked through the incident (if it ever was truly endangered) unscathed, perhaps earning back her place with WWE in doing so.

The incident underlines the tenuous line many athletes must walk when it comes to their public personas and how consequences can play out quickly for social media errors. So long as Stratton is on her quest for the Ms. Money in the Bank title, she will be a compelling figure inside and outside of it.
