During the turbulent aftermath of a recent Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, WWE "Raw" GM Adam Pearce took definitive action against CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. Things got interesting, however and dramatically so Saturday when Drew McIntyre fresh from his victory in the men's Money In The Bank ladder match decided to cash it in.

He was put in a match against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest who at the time were being attacked by Seth Rollins. Formerly, this provided a heart-stopping triple threat quality to the match. But the action veered off course when CM Punk returned to television and ambushed McIntyre with a cable in an uncharacteristically violent display.

From there, the calamity carried over to the Money in the Bank post-show as an irate McIntyre, Adam Pearce, and threw him with an elbow. This was what forced Pearce into quick action to bring back the air of competence and discipline in his brand.

"Both CM Punk and Drew McIntyre face fines for their behavior because the situation is so serious, you all see what happened at Money in the Bank," Adam Pearce declared. He went on. "Furthermore, in regards to the physicality between Drew McIntyre and myself.

So yes essentially effective immediately I have pursuit forthwith indefinitely suspension of [sigh] Drew McIntyre." Details will be revealed during the live 'Raw' broadcast tomorrow.

Punk-McIntyre Rivalry Escalates

Hostility Is Not A Newer Thing Between Punk And Drew McIntyre had viciously attacked Punk earlier in the evening, causing injury prompting his hometown Chicago crowd on WWE SmackDown on June 21.

The drama reached boiling point at Money in the Bank, where Punk got his revenge and as he promised made sure to stop McIntyre's potential world title win. While Punk has been away from wrestling since the 2024 Royal Rumble, he teased his potential return to action.

He voiced optimism on whether or not he would come back from a triceps injury at the post-event press conference: "it feels good, and I can't wait to step right in there Elimination Chamber."
