Impact World Championship Contenders Match Announced

A brutal tag team Mash-Up tournament was held this week on Impact Wrestling. Now it has been announced that Sami Callihan and Tessa Blanchard will fight each other. The winner will become the number one contender for the Impact World Title at Unbreakable.

The vent will be aired live on the 2nd of August on Impact Plus. Blanchard and Callihan took the spotlight as the two most dominant wrestlers in Impact Wrestling. They were involved in a Slammiversary XVII intergender match.

Callihan won that match, but most fans knew that the feud was not over. Blanchard and Callihan were drawn randomly this Friday, and had to work as a tag team. They were forced to figure out a way to work together. Blanchard and Callihan beat Trey and Dave Crist Then they went on to wrestle the teams of Eddie Edwards & Moose, Michael Elgin & Willie Mack, and Wentz & Jake Crist in an elimination style match.

Blanchard was the one who won the tournament after hitting the magnum. We might actually see Blanchard get the victory at Unbreakable. Then we might see Blanchard take on Brian Cage for the Impact World Title in two weeks. A twitter post released by Impact is given below: @TheSamiCallihan & @Tess_Blanchard have done it!

They've won the #MashUp Tournament and will now face each other on August 2nd at @IMPACTPlusApp's Unbreakable for a shot at the World Championship!

What a night!#MashUp
