Chelsea Green has been a professional wrestler for quite some time now. On social media and in interviews, she refers to her character as a “gimmick.” This week, she took the time to reflect on 10 years since her first match just adding fuel to the fire.
The former WWE star (2018-21) re-debuted at the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble after leaving the company last year due to injury. Since then, under Triple H’s guidance, she has found more success than ever before not to mention an all-time new TV charisma and killer wit.
Chelsea Green's Milestone Celebration
She also recently won women’s tag team gold with Sonya Deville at a live event her first title win in Stamford-based promotion history. It’s big from an in-ring standpoint, but it speaks volumes about how far she has come as a talent under WWE.
“Damn. 10 years. I deserve it ALL,” wrote Green on X/Twitter.com with this celebratory post in typical Chelsea fashion. And while this does serve as another personal milestone among many others recognized by fans and critics over time according to CageMatch database records anyway what matters most here isn’t exactly when Chelsea hit double digits professionally back during May 2024 (technically), but rather why people cared enough recently to make noise around that realization.
This week on ‘Ring The Belle,’ she said how much fun it would be if WWE brought back the Divas Championship belt because of its controversial nature “First off because that’s a thing!” she joked “I just love having these conversations where people don’t get it. Like you’re doing me a favour when you tweet about me because I go viral.”
And then? Well, there are still plenty of unwritten chapters in Chelsea Green’s storybook career between now and whenever she decides it’s time to hang up the boots for good so rest assured.
