Randy Orton might have had problems if he began his WWE career in 2024. He said he couldn’t imagine what would happen to a kid today who’s entering the wrestling business at 19 years old. Randy Orton has been with WWE for over two decades and is still one of the biggest names in the industry. Coming back from a debilitating back injury only fueled his fire.

Orton admits he used to get into trouble for “dumb, immature kid sh*t” when he was starting out. He wonders how things would’ve gone if cameras were everywhere like they are today, referring to the lack of online scrutiny in his early years compared to now.

Randy Orton's 2024 WWE Speculation

The Sports Bar, Orton told host Andy Goldstein about what it would be like if he started at WWE at 19 years old in 2024: “If I was 19 and signing my developmental deal and going to NXT in 2024 gosh, I don’t know, that is a tough question, man.” He talked about how social media has changed through time Myspace being one of the first platforms, followed by Facebook and Twitter but now everybody has phone cameras.

“I’ve done some dumb s--- and everybody’s got a camera phone in their pocket right now,” Orton said. He also wondered whether or not he would have fit into today's standards while representing WWE brand responsibly given that it is important for any employee to adapt themselves accordingly with time so as to meet organisation requirements. Said Randy “I would like to think I’d be with the times and would understand the gravity of the situation as far as representing the company in public and everything like that. But if I was doing the kind of s--- I was doing in my early twenties now, I wouldn’t be around long.”

Furthermore while reflecting on loyalty within this industry where people come and go quickly Randy singled out John Cena for having been able to achieve as much success both inside and out WWE underscoring how rare such things are.
