Dorian Mysterio appeared on the ‘Cheap Heat’ podcast and revealed his current girlfriend, Liv Morgan, is ‘100% better’ than his last partner in the Judgment Day faction, Rhea Ripley. In mid-August this year, Dominik surprised the WWE Universe in a way no one expected when he turned on Rhea at SummerSlam. Instead, he joined forces with Morgan and became a part of one of the most powerful couples on WWE Raw.
Mysterio also shared who between Morgan and Ripley he preferred and why. “100%, I just think the fact that there's equal respect,” he explained. “I suspect that she just kind of lets me be me: a fan who loves chicken tenders, plays video games, has a mustache, wears a mullet; I mean, yeah, she lets me be me.”
Tension from Start
Mysterio had a different view altogether for all the fans who sided with Ripley and believed that she was good to him while they were an item. This is how he recounted how the drama started between them, with a focus on the tension he felt physically and emotionally. “Many people may say, ‘Oh, she treated you well; she did all this stuff for you,’ but what did she do first when the relationship commenced with me, right? She put me in a headlock, punched me, and carried me on her shoulder like a sack of potatoes,” Mysterio remembered. “The relationship was out of the blue, and it was like? Maybe it can work, but then some things occurred here and there.”
He mentioned that one such case was when he lost the NXT North American Title for the very first time. Whereas Ripley was the one handing them out, she was making demands. “What’d she do instead of being a supportive ‘Mami’. She got into my face and said, You better come back with that title or don’t bother coming home.”
On the other hand, Mysterio also said that Morgan's situation differed since she was always nice and supportive of him even when they weren't in ‘relations’. He recounted a tale wherein he lost to his father, Rey Mysterio, and how Morgan was present for him at that time, even though it was before their official relationship.
