In the last few hours the huge topic in WWE fandom is one: Samantha Irvin left World Wrestling Entertainment. Since the news spread on the evening of Monday, October 21 - just before the airing of Monday Night Raw - it has unleashed all kinds of comments on social media, and not all exactly flattering. Her exit from the scene took everyone by surprise, so much so that many even believed it was a hoax. Initially it was all confused, but as the hours passed the situation has taken on more and more clear contours.
For many the first accusation to be made against Samantha Irvin was only one: high treason. Considering the change of his partner Ricochet - moved from WWE to AEW - some have done their math and have drawn the conclusion that for her too was in anticipation of a coming arrival at the employ of Tony Khan.
In fact, it seemed that the decision of the ring announcer - who we all remember at WrestleMania XL with his voice broken by emotion as he announced Cody Rhodes new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion - was sudden and unmotivated. The truth seems to be quite different from what transpires, and say it is the same Samantha Irvin on X. This is the platform that she chose to give her version and silence the evil rumors about her. "Months* before Raw", so she replied to a website that 'accused' her of not giving due notice. According to Ringside News, which has investigated the matter, Samantha’s next interests are no longer related to wrestling but to her music career.

Samantha’s announcement shocked everyone. These were her words: “WWE Universe, my time has come to an end as your Monday Night Raw Ring Announcer. I love you all tremendously and this does not mark the end of my art, I have a lifetime more to share. Thank you to every WWE fan who accepted me. To the Women’s Locker Room: you are the most incredible group of people on the face of this Earth. I am beyond proud to be your colleague and friend. To the Crew & Cameramen: I can’t thank you enough for the encouragement, the laughs. You created such a wonderful, positive atmosphere for me. Love you all.
To the WWE Superstars, past and present: 1 have thanked you since 1989 and will continue to thank you for the rest of my days for entertaining us. For raising the bar over and over again. For risking your bodies and finding new ways to keep us shocked and wanting more. There is no form of entertainment like this and not just any entertainer can be a WWE Superstar.
The respect I have for you is more than I can express. Thank you for making it so easy to pour emotion and excitement into your introductions. You are the stars that the stars idolize. It doesn’t get any bigger and I’m proud to have used my voice to let the world know it. Thank you Paul Heyman, Michael PS Hayes, & Michael Cole. Returning to the red show was Lilian Garcia, a historic ring announcer for the federation especially during the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Era and occasionally in recent times. Apparently Lilian has returned to the stable plant as she reported herself with an Instagram video.
In the latest edition of the ‘Hall of Fame’ podcast, wrestling legend Booker T opened up on Samantha Irvin’s decision: "That was something that was eye-opening. It wasn't something that happened, you know, all the time. (...) Then again, if it did happen? We didn't know about it. When you're good at what you do, you don't have to worry about a check coming in the mail.”
