Just one week after their arrival in WWE, the Motor City Machine Guns defeated Bloodline representatives Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa to take away the WWE Tag Team Championship. A very quick rise - which becomes credible thanks to the tournament formula - and deserved, considering the resumes of Alex Shelley (active since 2002) and Chris Sabin (active since 2000), which carries out what appears to be a real work of rejuvenation of the wrestlers.

Previously made a difference in many federations by graduating three times TNA World Tag Team Champions, Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions 3 IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.

The Motor City Machine Guns impressed

Few words but very incisive those released by the recent champions Tag SmackDown. The first to speak was Chris Sabin: "I think I’m still metabolising. I’m almost speechless, I don’t know what to say. It’s amazing to know about the overtaking lane to such a success in WWE, but that’s exactly what we’re here for: we came here to prove that we are one of the best Tag Team ever, and WWE is the only place where you can prove it."

Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley were highly anticipated and did not betray the expectations that had been created around them. Of course, this victory is not all their fault, coming at the end of a heated clash between Bloodline Original and Bloodline 2.0, but it still satisfies a good part of the fandom.

On the same wavelength is, of course, Alex Shelley: "Honestly it doesn’t matter what we did a week or an hour ago: what matters is that we are the champions and that we must hold on to these titles. The hard work is just beginning, and you haven’t seen anything yet: we’re the greatest of all time for a reason, and we’ll show it to the WWE Universe". Seven days ago we saw them qualify for the next round of the tournament by defeating A-Town Down Under, while this week they first defeated the DIY and then immediately faced the Guerrillas of Destiny and came out victorious.

The new Bloodline is not convincing

Meanwhile, the rise of the Motor City Machine Guns has accentuated the crisis of the Bloodline which does not seem to have the same impact as in the past. For a long time WWE fans have been begging for the story of Bloodline to stop being itself, and when the change came it wasn’t well received.

The line-up has been completely reworked, saving only one figure: Solo Sikoa alone, who went from Enforcer to Tribal Chief. Then came the Guerrillas of Destiny: Tama Tonga first and Tonga Loa then, and finally it was the one who captures more attention than all: the special enforcer Jacob Fatu. A complete upheaval not only in training, but also in goals... Or in their absence: we went from a Bloodline that held the most prestigious titles to a Bloodline that you do not understand what kind of ambitions you are cultivating.

Ringside News has picked up statements that Vince Russo (formerly WWE, former WCW, former TNA) has released to The Brand regarding the Samoan and Tongan faction. And the former writer immediately dropped the bomb saying that WWE would already have some other Samoan ready to be introduced, but he thinks the storyline has gone on for too long and is becoming boring.

Russo has always been very critical of WWE in recent years. The former writer of the company has always taken every opportunity to attack his former workplace, especially during the period when Vince McMahon was in charge. Since Triple H took over the federation, Russo has become less critical but his sharp words have never been lacking. The feeling is that he has a grudge against WWE.

Russo then highlighted the fact that he has seen many people on the internet talking about the fact that they continue to introduce new figures to the 'clan' of the Samoans wondering how long WWE will continue to insert them, The intention was to replace a strong group with another too weak to follow in its footsteps.

"I read about this Bloodline on the internet, and it looks like there are two or three more Samoans waiting. And they’re like, 'My God, so Heyman wasn’t lying when he said we were just at the beginning. Samoans will keep coming and going on this plan for how long? I’m sick of it: The fact that they are replacing a team of freaks with a reserve team is going too far, and it makes everything an incredible waste of time".
