Update on Rhea Ripley

On the occasion of the last episode of WWE NXT, Rhea Ripley showed up to meet another Australian wrestler who has just arrived in WWE: Zaria. And if for the moment it seemed a positive visit, shortly after the Mami was attacked in the parking lot of the Performance Center by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Some hours later, WWE announced that he reported an injury: "It was revealed that The Nightmare suffered a right orbital cavity fracture, which will put Ripley out of action for an unspecified period of time."

In the later hours, it became clear that this angle served to cover a real injury, with PWInsider and the Wrestling Observer that they reported that indeed the wrestler has returned that exact injury to that part of the body when in the episode of October 21, 2024 Raw he did a Headbutt on Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

In a recent talk by Dave Meltzer in his Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the journalist gave an update on the consequences of such injury for the Arab PLE card, writing: "The show was changed due to an injury of Rhea Ripley. Ripley suffered a fractured right orbital bone that will put her out of action and ended up delaying the planned single match with Raquel Rodriguez, who was confirmed to be on this show.

While everything was going smoothly we saw the NXT referees running in the parking lot while Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio were heading in the opposite direction: Rhea Ripley was left on the ground next to her car with her face covered in blood. On Wednesday, October 30, WWE released an official statement to announce that Rhea Ripley has suffered a fracture to the cheekbone. Very often these accidents, if announced directly by the company, turn out to be part of a storyline... Yet this does not seem to be the case.

Although not certain, it seems that the Four-Way Women’s Tag Team Title Match was used as a replacement since it is the only match on the show’s card that wasn’t scheduled before Rhea Ripley’s injury." The match will definitely be made and the rivalry between The Eradicator and Big Mami Cool will continue until probably the Australian won’t get back the belt from Liv Morgan, but it will take longer than expected.
