Aged only 27, Dominik Mysterio has successfully made a name for himself on the screens of WWE. He is very active in the Judgement Day Stable. His father, Rey Mysterio, a veteran of 35 years, is currently heading the reinvigorated Latino World Order faction. In a recent episode of ‘Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg’, Rey reminisced about himself at the age of 27 and states how it is quite similar to where his son is in the wrestling world today.

“It’s like even comparing is hard,” Rey Mysterio stated. “By 27, I had already wound my way through AAA, ECW, WCW, and was on the way up in the WWE, so that is a perfect comparison. But Dominik, the period he is talking about, from the time he started till now, is around four years; my first four years were a nightmare. There is no way I would have been in the position that Dominik is in after just four years into the profession.”

Rey and Dominik Mysterio: Early Career Paths

At the age of 14, Rey Mysterio started competing in the WWE, and by his mid-20s, he was regarded as an expert in the ring. When discussing his and Dominik’s early careers, Rey’s son Dominik started around the age of 27. He talks about the first four years for both of them and how different those four years were for each of them.

"I see how the fans love him, the way he moves, his instincts, everything. He knows where he fits at that moment in time. And yes, that can't be taught to anyone. Some people are born with that," Rey said. "That just sort of occurs in the ring." He credits the boy's exposure to the wrestling environment from birth, explaining that what he has acquired regarding being in the ring and his character development is gradually beginning to show.
