Matt Riddle was considered one of the most promising talents on the WWE roster and seemed ready to become a champion who would make history in this business. After achieving much success alongside a legend like Randy Orton, his career entered a downward parabola that continues to this day.

As everyone knows, Matt was released from the Stamford-based company in September 2023 due to repeated violations of the 'wellness program'. During his time in WWE, Riddle won several titles on both the NXT and main roster (including the WWE Tag Team Championship and the United States Championship).
Matt Riddle is still in trouble
In the last few hours, more bad news has arrived for the former WWE star. Matt allegedly scammed a promoter who had hired him for a 'Meet & Greet' and a match.
Dillon Hines – promoter of World Classic Professional Big Time Wrestling – wrote a long post on Facebook in which he accused him of violating agreements by making very large economic demands at the last minute. A situation that has put the promotion in serious difficulty.
In particular, the former United States champion - who was supposed to receive a fee of 8000 dollars - would have requested an additional 5000 dollars to take the flight and participate in that event. Matt's career is not going in the right direction and the situation has worsened after his WWE release.

During an interview with Ariel Helwani for ‘MMA Hour’, the former Tag Team champion recalled his WWE release: "With the WWE schedule, it's a lot. It's four days a week, non-stop traveling, and you're never home. It's very rough."
He continued: "I talked to Internal Affairs, I talked to the FBI, I'm not in trouble. I'm not gonna go into details with the situation because they asked me not to unless I wanted to press charges. If I wouldn't have had a couple of drinks I wouldn't have put myself in that situation and I wouldn't have been there."
