Matt Riddle’s journey post-WWE, after leaving in September 2023, has seen him compete across various promotions. His commitment and versatility are commendable and are doing wonders for him in the professional wrestling arena. In the year of 2024, he made head turning appearances in Pro Wrestling New Japan (NJPW), Major League Wrestling (MLW) along with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA).

A remarkable feat was certainly winning the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship during the more than 3 hour long inaugural El Triunfo Tournament at AAA’s Triplemanía XXXII in August. He managed to defend the championship once again in October at Heroes Inmortales.

Riddle did confirm that these talks were happening, stating ‘I've been in talks with TNA. I've been in talks with everybody, to be honest.’ During TNA’s Turning Point event he was able to make his debut in November 2024 when he partnered with the famous duo of Kushida and Zachary Wentz which gives great indication of there being ongoing collaborations.

Having participated in MMA earlier, Riddle’s passion for pro wrestling and Combat Sports makes him want to make a comeback and it seems there is a need for him in the industry. 2023 December is when he said, “I think in 2024, there’s a very big possibility that I get back in the ring or cage pretty soon” so it seems that in when 2024 rolls around there may be a return on the horizon.
