Booker T is undoubtedly an icon of this business, having been able to make an impact even after finishing his professional career. The former United States champion retired almost 15 years ago, although he has made some sporadic appearances in WWE in recent years (such as at the 2023 Royal Rumble).

Booker has also been a protagonist in some secondary companies, but his main role right now is that of NXT commentator together with Vic Joseph. In the last few hours, shocking news about Booker T has arrived that has left fans speechless.
The former WWE star will face his protégé Zilla Fatu on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 'ROW Breakout', in a show organized by Reality of Wrestling. This is not the first time Booker T has performed for this promotion, having already made a match at 'ROW Summer of Champions VIII' in the summer of 2022.
Booker T is a true legend
The WWE Hall of Famer took part in some memorable feuds during his long career in this business and became a reference backstage in those years.

In a long interview with Chris Van Vliet, he recalled the partnership between WWE and TNA: “Well, back then in 2008 I couldn’t see that. Just because 2008 TNA, they were rumbling, they had a lot of steam behind them. Like they would make a big play to perhaps be that next competition. AJ Styles, Joe, Roode, all those guys, Awesome Kong, Sting Steiner, it was nuts as far as the talent roster went back there. But now I can see it just because TNA is not a threat.
I think being able to cross-promote and work with someone, a company like TNA I think benefits the talent more than anything. I think it helps the company stay alive in their markets, they’re not gonna go anywhere now just because they see the collaboration. So I think is a good thing for everybody, just because everybody is not going to be able to work in WWE at one time and be able to get shine and it’s just not going to happen.”
