Vince McMahon has contributed a lot to making WWE the company it is today and his influence on this business is undeniable. The former WWE boss has dedicated his entire life to this company and it is also thanks to him that some athletes have transcended wrestling to become global icons.

However - since he moved away from the Stamford’s federation in the summer of 2022 - the situation has changed for the better and the advent of Triple H has represented a breath of fresh air in every sense. The former world champion has also proven to be very skilled behind the scenes and has renewed the atmosphere backstage, greatly improving the relationship between the superstars and the management.

D-Von Dudley slams Vince McMahon

It's no secret that Vince had a bad relationship with many athletes and that his behaviors were not to everyone's liking. McMahon has ended up at the center of numerous scandals in recent years, and his reputation has been greatly damaged, although everyone is aware of his importance to the company's rise.

Hardly a champion like CM Punk would have returned to WWE after ten years if Vince had still been at the helm of the federation. The same goes for Cody Rhodes, who became one of the symbolic faces of the company after he left it to seek his fortune on the independent circuit.

At the same time, Bobby Lashley recently confessed that his relationship with McMahon was much better than his relationship with The Game. Precisely for this reason, 'The All Mighty' has decided to leave WWE and accept Tony Khan's offer to land in AEW.

In a YouTube video, WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley revealed how difficult it was to manage Vince's character and admitted that he always preferred Paul Heyman as the boss: "Who do I feel was the greatest boss to work for, Paul Heyman or Vincent Kennedy McMahon? It’s a landslide with Paul. He’s been winning just about all of them. I love you, Vince, don’t get me wrong, but the bond that I had with him before I met you—oh, that kind of takes over. So, I’m sorry, but no hard feelings. Paul was just somebody that made you feel connected to him. He made you feel like he genuinely cared—because he did.”
