Jey Uso just scored the biggest win of his entire career, shocking fans around the world at the 2025 Royal Rumble. In the first PLE of the new year, Uso showed that he is ready to become a full-fledged champion and it will be interesting to see whether or not he will be able to handle all this pressure.

His rise came to an almost unexpected peak, although he always believed that he could become a 'factor' even as a singles wrestler. Jey eliminated John Cena as the last competitor in the men's royal brawl and received compliments from the 16-time world champion, who was literally shocked after his last career participation in this event.

Jey Uso is expected to face Gunther

Thanks to this amazing victory, Uso guaranteed himself the chance to compete for the world title at WrestleMania 41. Fans and insiders are already wondering who his opponent will be in the most important event on the WWE calendar, but there is no certain answer yet.

However, a series of clues lead us to think that his opponent at the 'Showcase of the Immortals' will be Gunther. The latter is the current World Heavyweight Champion and defended his title against Uso at Saturday Night's Main Event a week ago.

Jey seems ready to continue his feud with 'The Ring General' and this is the most likely scenario barring shocking surprises.

The other option would be a rivalry between Uso and Cody Rhodes. However, 'The American Nightmare' is expected to face John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Mania 41. Despite being defeated in the Royal Rumble match, the leader of the 'Cenation' is likely to earn the chance to face Cody at Elimination Chamber, WWE's next PLE which will take place in Toronto on March 1st.
