In a recent podcast interview Michael Cole talked about how Corey Graves struggles currently in his work with him. He became known to media outlets after making controversial statements about his WWE work shift on different shows.
WWE leadership moved Graves from main show broadcast positions to NXT when they reorganized commentating tasks in January. After hearing the show changes Graves showed his negativity online. After WWE denied his request to maintain his old roles Corey deleted his social media message which led many people to wonder what he would do next.
Michael Cole's Perspective
The situation appeared highly abnormal to him. The commentator showed his strong bond with Graves through his words "I love Corey." Love him to death. I cannot understand how the connections play out here. WWE officials did not accept Graves' social media posts as part of an upcoming show story when he tried to persuade them otherwise. Cole demonstrates that he has an improving professional connection with the company.
Michael Cole respect Corey announcing ability more than other commentators in his view except for two experts.
The WWE protest made viewers discuss if WWE approves excessive creative use during matches. The company enables its staff to communicate with viewers but does not allow public remarks that criticize its operations. He combined real-life and WWE storylines in a failed attempt which made WWE review his employment contract.
