As was easily predictable, The Rock also participated in the first episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix on January 6, 2025, delivering the 'Ula Fala' in the hands of his cousin Roman Reigns after the latter had defeated Solo Sikoa.
After his brief appearance on the first episode of NXT in 2025, fans and insiders began to wonder what the company had in mind for this legend ahead of WrestleMania 41. However – in recent weeks – the rumor has become increasingly insistent that The Rock will not participate in the 'Showcase of the Immortals' this year.
Well-known analyst Dave Meltzer has reported that Triple H and WWE management know that 'The Final Boss' will not be able to be present at Mania 41 since the end of last year, which is why fans would be destined to be disappointed.
The Rock will be on SmackDown
Last night, 'The Great One' shocked everyone again by confirming his presence at the next episode of SmackDown via his official X profile.
The former world champion will be one of the protagonists of the upcoming episode of the blue show, which will be held in New Orleans today.
It's unclear what The Rock will do on SmackDown. It is rumored that he could resume his storyline with The Bloodline, or he could have a confrontation with Cody Rhodes. 'The American Nightmare' is going through the best moment of his entire career and – barring shocking surprises – he will face John Cena in one of the most anticipated matches of WrestleMania 41. We'll see if The Rock shocks everyone once again.
