CM Punk is certainly a legend of this business, who has participated in some truly iconic feuds and who has been able to work with some of the best performers of the modern era during his long career.

His adventure in the world of pro-wrestling seemed very close to its conclusion when he left All Elite Wrestling, after being among the protagonists of a shocking backstage brawl after an event that had cracked his relationship with both Tony Khan and the other stars of the roster.

The future of the ace from Chicago was very uncertain at that time and several insiders claimed that he planned to retire from wrestling to start a new chapter in his life.

Triple H understood that – despite the disagreements of the past – it would be a real shame to let slip a generational talent like Punk, who is still able to electrify the crowd and make a difference in the ring whenever he has the opportunity.

The former world champion is shining during his second WWE run, he raised his level in the latter part of last year and looks set to compete for the world title later this year.

CM Punk thanks WWE legends

The 'Second City Saint' put on a show at both the Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber, but failed to prevail despite his unbridled ambition to emerge.

The former AEW star will still be one of the main attractions of WrestleMania 41, where he is expected to face another champion of the caliber of Seth Rollins.

In a recent interview with 'Inside The Ropes', Punk wanted to thank all the legends who worked with him and taught him how to become a star: “I’ve always tried to rise to the level of the legends that I’ve worked with, you know, and early in my career, when I got to work with a guy like Eddie Guerrero, like, you know, I realized, like, real fast there was such a talent and experience disparity that any time, any chance I got to work with a legend, whether it was doing something dark with Stone Cold or doing something with Bret Hart, I would always try to work with them as much as I could.”
