At 58 years the professional wrestler has gone public with the desire to have the reins on how his illustrious career will be brought to a close while recent indications all point to charting his dramatic exit.
Goldberg's return to wrestling has revolved around intense training that involves stem cell therapy to be in his prime for his last wrestling bout. In an interview with Ariel Helwani on his show, he declared being ready to fight again. "'I feel like a million bucks,' he told listeners. The bout is set to occur this summer. The date is still a mystery to me but I know very well that the fight is coming."
Potential Opponents Stirring the Pot
The fans have been speculating for a long time about who among the wrestlers will get the opportunity to wrestle Goldberg for his retirement match.
The name of World Heavyweight Champion Gunther consistently comes up in discussions. Their intense fight at Bad Blood garnered much attention and added fire to the speculations of their match. WWE previously had plans to make Goldberg fight Gunther with Gunther possibly losing his title first.
Recently Goldberg had fans speculating about who the opponents for his retirement match would be when he dropped a teasing hint about John Cena being one of his possibilities.
