Kevin Owens is all set to face Shane McMahon at this year’s WWE SummerSlam PPV. He spoke to Sports Illustrated about it. The match will take place on Sunday. Owens will have to quit the WWE if he loses the match. Owens recently cut a promo which made the feud extremely fiery.
His promo received a lot of attention and he cut it on Smackdown a few weeks ago. He spoke about Shane getting a lot of TV time, which should be given to other more deserving WWE Superstars. He stated that many members of the locker room hate Shane due to that.
He was asked whether he was the one who came up with the promo. "I actually cut that promo a week before to somebody in the locker room," Owens answered. "And it got people talking enough that it ended up on TV the next week.
It all came from gut instinct. I'll always be a fan. I know what I like watching, and I think I have a pretty good finger on the pulse of the audience today, and it all came from that." Kevin Owens was a famous indie star before he joined the WWE.
He is currently one of WWE’s top stars. He returned to the WWE after taking a long time off to recover from injuries and surgeries.
