Drew McIntyre is a staple on the WWE roster nowadays, but he had to overcome a number of difficulties during his career in this business to become the champion everyone loves. Her first WWE experience had not gone in the best way and the Scottish star had been forced to try experiences elsewhere, proving to WWE management that she deserved a second chance to show the whole world her immense talent.
Determination and perseverance allowed Drew to achieve the success he had always dreamed of, embellished by a triumphant rise during the pandemic period.
That was certainly the best moment of his career along with 2024, in which he shone for almost the entire season, getting closer to the world title and making inroads into the heart of the WWE Universe again.
Most insiders thought he would have a chance to compete for the world title in this first segment of 2025, but Triple H had other plans for McIntyre and his results have not been particularly brilliant so far. His most bitter disappointment was certainly at the Royal Rumble match in early February, in which he was eliminated by Damian Priest and had a small fight in the locker room with his colleague LA Knight.
Drew McIntyre slams young stars
'The Scottish Warrior' has been getting more nervous than usual lately and it's clear that he would have liked to get something more ahead of WrestleMania 41, which will be staged in Las Vegas in just over a week.
On the latest edition of the 'Wafflin' podcast', the British ace was asked to give an opinion on the new generation of WWE superstars and he used surprising words: “We’ve seen guys, you know, Triple H tore his quad off of the bone, continued the match and got put in a maneuver, the ‘Walls of Jericho’, where he’s held in a maneuver that hurts your quads in general and his was not attached.”
He continued: “That’s the kind of mentality most of our superstars have. Maybe some of them, because some of the new guys are frickin’ pussies.”
