Fans have been wondering for several days what WWE has in mind for Randy Orton, who was supposed to face Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 41 in one of the most electrifying matches on the entire card. However, the Canadian veteran will have to miss out on the most prestigious event of the season due to a serious neck injury that will force him to undergo surgery in the near future.
The KO recovery time has not yet been defined with certainty, but it is very unlikely that he will be able to return to the ring before the beginning of 2026. Some analysts have even advanced the hypothesis that KO could be forced to miss next year's edition of WrestleMania due to the seriousness of his injury.
His announcement shocked the WWE Universe, while 'The Viper' vented all his frustration by inflicting a violent RKO on current SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis.
Latest news on Big E
In the last few hours, speculation has begun to circulate insistently that Big E could be allowed to return to the ring to face Randy at the 'Showcase of the Immortals'.
As everyone knows, Big E's career totally changed in the spring of 2022 when he broke his neck during an episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The former member of the New Day has received the support of all his colleagues and has worked very hard to continue chasing his dream, but he has not played any matches since that day in March.
He has remained in WWE in other roles and his last appearance dates back to the December 2, 2024 episode of Raw, but it is unclear if he will ever return to action as an active wrestler.
Interviewed by Tyler Breeze, Big E specified that he is not ready to return to the ring yet and closed the door to the possibility of facing Orton at Mania 41. The most important show of the WWE season will be staged tomorrow and Sunday in Las Vegas, in front of an oceanic crowd that is ready to get excited.
