Triple H and WWE management have granted CM Punk's wish to face John Cena before the latter retires from professional wrestling. The leader of the 'Cenation' is shining on his WWE farewell tour, as evidenced by his historic triumph at WrestleMania 41 that allowed him to win the world title for the 17th time in his legendary career.
The veteran from Boston has arrived about halfway through his farewell tour and has less than 20 appearances left before finally starting a new chapter in his life, in which he will focus exclusively on his family and his Hollywood career.
John will have to face the 'Second City Saint' at Night of Champions, the show scheduled in Saudi Arabia on June 28 that has caused much discussion. In the past, the former AEW star had harshly criticized the agreement between WWE and Saudi Arabia, which is why fans were very surprised when his presence at this show was announced.
The ace from Chicago has been accused of being a hypocrite and thinking only about money, an understandable reaction from WWE Universe who has always had an up-and-down relationship with Punk. According to the latest rumors, CM Punk's participation in this event in Saudi Arabia had already been planned for months and there were never any doubts about it.
John Cena and CM Punk star on SmackDown
Cena and Punk had a confrontation during the latest episode of SmackDown and everyone expects a memorable show at the end of this month, because there is no rematch between these two legends in the second part of the season.
“I sound like little PG John Cena, which is ironic, because do you know who you sound like?

‘I’m gonna ruin wrestling, I’m gonna take the strap and leave!’
Man, you sound like CM Punk.”

As everyone knows, John has been a heel for a few months and is showing a side of his gimmick that had always remained unexpressed. In their segment on SmackDown, Punk accused Cena of copying him when he turned into a heel character.
