Roman Reigns has taken some breaks from WWE in the first part of the 2025 season, wanting to preserve his body in view of the most prestigious shows on the calendar. The former world champion had increased the number of his in-ring appearances between the end of 2024 and the beginning of this year - to coincide with the arrival of Monday Night Raw on Netflix - but he does not want to exaggerate to avoid injuries.
The 'Tribal Chief' has appeared only once in front of WWE Universe after participating in the main event of WrestleMania 41 'Night 1', in which he faced Seth Rollins and CM Punk suffering the shocking betrayal of Paul Heyman (who favored 'The Visionary' in the most important event of the entire calendar). Roman was present on the episode of Monday Night Raw following the 'Showcase of the Immortals', before literally disappearing from the scene generating numerous speculations.
Roman could skip Night of Champions
At this point, it seems really unlikely that he will participate in Night of Champions, the show that will take place in Saudi Arabia on June 28. The highlight of this event will be the one between John Cena and CM Punk, who will face each other for the world title for the last time and will certainly give the crowd a memorable show.
Although there are no official confirmations yet, Reigns will be one of the protagonists of SummerSlam – the most important PLE of the summer – which will be staged at the MetLife Stadium on August 2 and 3. Most insiders are convinced that the former world champion - when he makes his WWE return - will resume his feud with Seth Rollins and their showdown would be expected at SummerSlam. Meanwhile, 'The Visionary' has just begun a storyline with L.A. Knight that will keep him busy for some time.
Another rumor suggests that Cody Rhodes could be Roman Reigns' next opponent, considering that 'The American Nightmare' is looking to return to the top after being defeated by John Cena in the most anticipated match of WrestleMania 41 a couple of months ago.
