The Rock made a really significant impact in the first part of 2025, having appeared several times in WWE and having propitiated John Cena's shocking heel turn at Elimination Chamber in early March.
Johnson - who had made a strange proposal to 'The American Nightmare' Cody Rhodes - unleashed the fury of the leader of the 'Cenation' thanks to a precise signal and everyone expected that he would also have a leading role at WrestleMania 41.
However, the former world champion did not appear in the most prestigious event of the season – which took place in Las Vegas on April 19 and 20 – and no one has yet understood the exact reason for his decision. 'The Great One' tried to explain his reasons in an interview with Pat McAfee, but his words convinced almost no one and WWE Universe was very disappointed by his non-participation in the 'Showcase of the Immortals'.
The Rock skipped Mania 41
According to some rumors, 'The Final Boss' will be busy filming a movie throughout the second part of 2025 and it is very unlikely that he will make WWE appearances in the near future.
However, top analyst Bill Apter is convinced that WWE management could surprise everyone with an alliance between Ron Killings - who is the new name of R-Truth, who has just returned to the company after his release - and The Rock.
"John Cena against Ron 'The Truth' Killings. The bell rings, they start circling each other. They grab ahold of each other, and they hug. The Rock has made the deal. 'Ron Cena' is now part of John Cena's family. Becomes the R-Truth from all the love they gave him, becomes the most dastardly heel in WWE for a short period of time of course” – Apter stated on the latest edition of ‘UnSKripted’.
In recent weeks, The Rock has received further criticism because it had announced that WrestleMania 42 would be held in New Orleans, instead the deal fell through and Las Vegas was announced as the new venue.
