Wrestling fans are talking because one of the most fearsome men in all of wrestling, Brock Lesnar, has been missing in action on WWE programming.

His final appearance was at SummerSlam in August 2023 where he lost to Cody Rhodes in a rare loss. The Beast Incarnate has not been spotted since into squared circle.

Insiders verify his disappearance is linked to the backlash of a lawsuit filed by a former worker Janel Grant in January 2024. Lesnar was listed in complaint regarding allegations that were targeted at former chairman of WWE, Vince McMahon.

Lesnar is not a defendant, but WWE quickly pulled him off the on-screen action, merchandise, and even the WWE 2K24 video game.

Legal Freeze and Creative Pause

When Lesnar was scheduled to make his comeback in 2024 Royal Rumble or WrestleMania XL, WWE executives did not want to go ahead with the plans as the legal cloud loomed over promotion even though the scripts had already been made.

Promos, storylines and in-ring appearances were all shelved permanently as WWE opted to play it safe rather than be controversial.

Lesnar himself has made things mysterious. At beginning of 2025 fans even saw him in street, one of them even approached him in a steakhouse in Austin, inquiring about his future in WWE.

Lesnar responded with a noncommittal, We will see. The uncertainty has spawned rumor one person is hoping that he will retire, another is hoping that he will make a comeback after lawsuit falls apart.

Lesnar is a subject of discussion even though he is on a leave of absence. The recent pictures depict him with longer hair and a thicker beard new appearances that have rejuvenated fan speculations but do not signify his position in WWE.

In the meantime, promotion keeps getting firepower in other places, with such big names as John Cena, The Rock, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns topping the shows.
