Jade Cargill has been the center of the WWE summer program. Since she returned to the ring at Elimination Chamber in Toronto on March 1, she has been engaged in a heated feud with Naomi to create more headlines.

The WWE management has been planning her career carefully, mixing in-ring returns with momentous storyline builds in the run-up to their all-women show.

Backstage buzz indicates WWE has big plans to put a big spotlight on the former AEW powerhouse in July with plans to headline Evolution in Atlanta, her hometown, in a high-stakes contest with stipulations that have yet to be revealed with Naomi.

The new Money in the Bank champion, Naomi, has already made a name for herself by going after Jade, only to shift her focus to the so-called pink-haired goddess, the SmackDown women's champion, Tiffany Stratton, to make the stakes even higher.

WWE is strategically sowing the seeds of such a story in RAW and SmackDown. Wrestling gossipers are pointing to this week when the plot will pick up with more sensational presence of Nikki Bella and Charlotte Flair to up the star value. It is a construction set up to sell tickets, TV ratings and pay-per-views, making Cargill achieve a landmark in his backyard.

A New Era for “The Storm” Begins

Outside the ring Jade is extending its influence to the acting. It was announced that she will appear in her first film this fall in the “True Threat” with Jonathan Majors in the role of a villain, which allows her to push the boundaries of her image and put it not only in wrestling. This debut into film will bring her public image tremendously wider and may affect how the WWE markets the character long-term.
