Unlike many other legends in the business, Stone Cold Steve Austin never felt the need to return to the ring after his professional career had ended. Injuries have seriously affected the path of the former world champion and continue to cause him discomfort even in daily life, which is why he has had to get used to a much quieter life and has been able to spend time with his wonderful family.

Stone Cold was present during the weekend of Mania 41 and participated in numerous initiatives outside the ring, meeting fans and also answering some questions. According to reports from the portal 'Fightful Select', Steve Austin would not have ruled out being able to return to perform in WWE in the near future but added that there is nothing certain at the moment.
A couple of years ago, rumors spread that WWE wanted to set up a dream match between Steve Austin and then-world champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but that plan fell through, and WWE Universe was very disappointed.
After this rumour, fans have already wondered who Stone Cold's opponent could be if his return to the ring becomes a reality. Many have already mentioned the name of CM Punk, who is going through a very bright phase of his career and is set to face John Cena at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia later this month.
The 'Second City Saint' is much more mature than in the past and has learned to accept compromises. Only time will tell if this eventuality is really possible.
