John Cena has already surprised everyone in the first part of his WWE retirement tour, in which he is giving his best to electrify fans on every single occasion he appears. The leader of the 'Cenation' not only became world champion for the 17th time by defeating Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, but he left WWE Universe speechless when he made the first heel turn of his entire career during Elimination Chamber in early March.
In addition to 'The American Nightmare', the legend from Boston had feuds with other legends in the first part of 2025 and is preparing to face CM Punk in the most anticipated match of Night of Champions. This event will take place in Saudi Arabia on June 28 and has attracted a lot of criticism, but fans will still have the opportunity to see Cena live in a truly evocative setting.
The current world champion will certainly be the protagonist at SummerSlam – the most prestigious PLE of the summer – and his presence in Europe in August and in Australia in mid-October has already been announced.
There is no certain news on John's final match yet, but it is rumored that it will be held in Boston in mid-December.
John Cena loves wrestling too much
Most fans and analysts continue to wonder why Cena wants to leave wrestling if he is still competitive at the highest level. He has understood that his body is no longer able to withstand the stresses required by professional wrestling and it is right to leave room for young talents.
John is now a popular and established star even in Hollywood but - during an appearance at the 'FAN EXPO Dallas 2025' - he specified that he loves wrestling much more than acting.
"To be honest, I love wrestling so much more [than acting]. There's no denying the magic in an arena for a live WWE broadcast. And I'm fine saying that. If that knocks me out of the movie business, I'll be accountable for saying that," Cena stated.
