WWE has officially re-signed its giant Nigerian superstar, Omos, to a multi-year contract, keeping him in the company regardless of the fact that he has not appeared on television in a long time. This is a shocking turn of events for a number of fans because Omos has not been seen in a televised singles match since May 2023.

The final WWE match of his career was the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at the April 5, 2024 episode of SmackDown.

He stated in a recent interview with GamblingIndustryNews that he was excited about the new contract and said, things are going very well. Can't complain. I am so looking forward to the future." He has also said that he has been training and working on new things and perhaps he may be back in the ring.

WWE's Strategic Use of Omos

Even with his long absence, WWE has continued to have a strategic position with Omos because he is not a staple on their programming but a special attraction at major events. This strategy has made his appearances to be effective and unforgettable. Reports at WWE have revealed that the company is indeed waiting to present Omos in the right program and this implies they are waiting to create the right storyline or match him with the right person to make his presence felt.

His recent engagement in Japan with the Pro Wrestling NOAH also highlights his worth to WWE. In his stay there, he partnered with Jack Morris to capture GHC Tag Team Championship, being the first WWE contracted talent to win NOAH gold. He was quite successful in Japan and WWE officials were said to be impressed with his work ethic and determination.
