The Undertaker was not one to mince words when Booker T stormed off during one of tapings of WWE LFG by giving him a stern warning that reverberated throughout the locker room. The Deadman seemed to be composed on the surface but his message was loud and clear: respect is not an option even to icons.
This happened during the most recent episode of WWE LFG (Legends and Future Greats) when Booker T stormed off the set because of a production decision with which he did not agree. Cameras caught him grumbling to himself and then saying, I am out, and went away. The crowd was shocked by moment and shouting backstage was already on the way.
Taker draws the line publicly
The Undertaker was ready to face the incident in next taping. In front of a group of current and future talent, he gave everyone a reminder that when you are under the WWE spotlight, your actions are part of the performance, even when the cameras are not present. He told his wife, also a legend, Michelle McCool, right in front of the crew, that she has a target on her back.
Taker was not bombastic in his tone. He emphasized that no one can walk out of show in middle without any warning because it is not a simple choice, it is a choice affecting the whole production and all people involved in it. His role was really not to chastise Booker T, but to enforce a few things: namely that professionalism is important both as a rookie, and as a Hall of Famer.
The scene set carried Gordon in two levels. To younger talent, it was an in-house invitation to learn locker room responsibility. To experienced stars, it was a lesson that belt history or legacy does not make you exempted to unwritten rules. It was also a lesson to creative team and production staff that what they were doing had actual repercussions, and that they had better think twice before marginalizing the opinion of a person.
