Rhea Ripley left WWE Night of Champions in Riyadh with more than a win under her belt it appeared like a statement of her intentions.
Ripley had an aggressive affair in Street Fight against Raquel Rodriguez, overcoming the pain further, with bruised ribs and all, to launch an Avalanche Riptide through a table and put her opponent away. Following the victory she issued a cold threat to fellow women superstars saying, “I am just getting started.” The dramas could not be more timely with the SummerSlam soon and the Women's World Championship waiting to be fought.
Offstage her toughness revealed itself outside the ring. She had also confirmed as having bruised ribs probably due to early blows of a kendo stick, but stated the injury is nothing serious, just a badge of honour on how courageous she was after the fight. Triple H has even teased her out towards the opening of Monday Night RAW which is a definite indicator that WWE is bringing in a serious feud on her as fast as possible.
Eyes on Evolution and World Title Gold
There are indications now that Ripley will have her sights firmly fixed on IYO SKY Women's World Championship. There are already some reports that a title unification match could be on the card at WWE Evolution 2, the all-women's Premium Live Event that will follow later this year. This direction was emphasized by the feelings of non-closure in the mind of Ripley.
When asked in a backstage interview what she is doing in this business, since she does not want the championship, she made it abundantly clear that she does not settle short of being No.1 on the list.
Other than that, the recent decision of Ripley and Judgment Day, with plot elements revolving around Roxanne Perez, can pave the way for new narratives. Perez came in to assist Raquel in the Street Fight, and was blown up by Ripley, possibly sowing some animosity or tag match in weeks to come
