The 51‑day reign of Jey Uso ended when he lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Gunther at the June 9 episode of RAW. This sudden loss of title was not only a failure, it was the beginning of a new process of backstage activities in the WWE creative team. According to wrestling insiders, his limited reign was a larger part of a storyline plan, which will lead to bigger angles in the future with such heavy hitters as John Cena, Logan Paul, and the legendary Goldberg.

Since then, there have been more and more rumors of a possible tag-team reunion. The Usos seem to be in the plans of WWE as they are a dynamic duo that is reunited this year. According to sources, when Jey gets back to his job, Jimmy can re-unite with him again, maybe even before the year 2025 is over.

Shifting Brands & The Bloodline Civil War

The rumors are that Jey is going to change brands in the near future, leaving RAW to SmackDown. The rumor is linked to a developing “Bloodline Civil War” angle, where he can fit in alongside Jimmy and Jacob Fatu to take on Solo Sikoa and his group. It seems WWE is eager to highlight the brotherhood relationship again, particularly in the way they are developing a more family-related feud.

In the meantime, patrons should not rule out additional big ticket singles activity. Plans of Jey to go head-to-head against the likes of Logan Paul or even team up with Cody Rhodes in high profile tag matches are still on the table. He appeared in high stakes tag matches at Saturday Night Main Event and Money in the Bank and WWE may bend a big ticket match between him and Paul to sort out some dust.

The following chapter of Jey is expected to be an interesting combination of family reunion and new brand rivalry with a possible reunion with Jimmy on SmackDown, as well as remaining in the singles spotlight, with major matches. WWE is obviously paving the way to nostalgia and new fireworks as The Usos are ready to take their next step.
