Everyone thought that the last match of Goldberg's career had been a huge success, as the former world champion had put in an excellent performance against World Heavyweight Champion Gunther during Saturday Night's Main Event on July 12.

It's no secret that Bill worked harder than ever to prepare for that clash, despite several injuries slowing down his training and the doctors taking longer than expected to grant him permission to return to the ring.

'Da Man' deserved to end his glorious career on his own terms and Atlanta represented the perfect city to say goodbye to WWE Universe, although he failed to dethrone 'The Ring General'. In the following press conference, Triple H had words of praise for Goldberg and had made his retirement as a professional wrestler official.

However - a few days after his retirement match - the WWE Hall of Famer gave an interview to Ariel Helwani in which he accused the Stamford company of not behaving well towards him by sabotaging his acceptance speech.

WWE immediately tried to dampen this controversy and even apologized to him, but Bill seems really angry and some are starting to believe that he wants to land in All Elite Wrestling in the near future.

Goldberg’s frustration remains

According to reports from top analyst Sean Ross Sapp, WWE executives approached the former world champion immediately after his final match to apologize to him.

“I was told that someone within the company apologized to Goldberg for the interview getting cut off as quick as it did. But those that I spoke with were adamant that it was not intentional. It wasn’t an intentional disrespect thing for Goldberg to have his speech cut off” – Ross Sapp revealed.

He also added: “They said they just weren’t surprised by his reaction. And they think that whenever the nature of his WWE deal is up, he’s probably going to talk about it a lot more.”

It will be very interesting to see if 'Da Man's' anger will lead him to move away from WWE and continue his career.
