During the 2019 WWE Draft on the October 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt was drafted to SmackDown; earlier that same night, The Fiend disrupted a match between Rollins (representing Raw) and Roman Reigns (representing SmackDown) to determine which brand would get the first pick, which caused Rollins to win by disqualification.
On the October 14 episode of Raw, although Rollins was drafted to Raw, a rematch for the Universal Championship was set for Crown Jewel on October 31 as a Falls count anywhere match. Wyatt as his normal self appeared via the Firefly Fun House where he was ambushed by Rollins.
Rollins then proceeded to destroy some of the fun house's decorations, before setting the place on fire. On the following SmackDown, a stipulation was added that their title match could not be stopped for any reason. At the October 2019 Crown Jewel pay-per-view event, The Fiend defeated Rollins to capture the Universal Championship for the first time, also transferring the title to SmackDown.
Brock Lesnar would go to Raw, with the WWE Championship, after (kayfabe) resigning from the brand over a dispute with Rey Mysterio, leaving Wyatt on SmackDown as the brand's sole world champion. On the latest Hall of Fame podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer Booker T revealed who Bray Wyatt may face next: “Hey man, this war — you know, everybody in the locker room now is in a position to put themselves in a place to where anything can happen for them.
They can the guy to get that phone call that says, ‘Hey man, you’re the guy.’ Humberto Carrillo, he might be the guy. You never know. Even though — I’m just saying. Somebody right now is in prime position to step up and say ‘Hey, I’m gonna go out here and do something to make these fans fans look at me in a totally different way”.
