The event will be held on the 26th of January, 2019. His opponent will be JW Kiser, who has a record of 0 wins and 1 loss, according to a few websites. According to some reports, he actually has a 1 win and 1 loss record. WWE let go of Swagger in March 2017.
Swagger announced in November that year that he is interested in the sport of mixed martial arts and will fight inside the octagon. He was expected to make his debut in MMA in 2018, but now he will fight his first fight in early 2019.
Swagger announced his debut date on Ariel Helwani on his show. He is currently 36 years old and is still involved in the independent wrestling circuit. He has one more indie wrestling outing, before he is set to enter a full-time MMA camp.
