Kurt Angle on Pain Killer Problem

Kurt Angle is a WWE Hall of Famer and one of the greatest performers in WWE history. He was the only Olympic Gold Medalist to join the WWE full-time several years ago. During his time in the WWE, he fought some of the best WWE wrestlers of all-time.

Kurt Angle was known for his awesome work ethic and endurance, although he has dealt with so many injuries in the past. Angle is no longer an active wrestler and retired at WrestleMania 35. He was recently interviewed by Chris Van Vliet and he spoke about his pain killer addiction.

He stated that Vince McMahon did not know about it and there was no drug policy at that time. "Vince and I were really close," Angle noted. "It was the last year and half (during my first run in the WWE) that I got out of control.

I was doing a lot of painkillers; I was getting injured quite a bit. I was wrestling full time. It was really getting to me. I was taking up to 65 extra-strength Vicodin a day. I was a wreck. Vince did not know this. Back then, they didn't have that drug policy, so up until 2005-2006, they started drug testing.

Before that, you could do whatever you wanted”. He had to get over it and he did. Kurt Angle has remained sober all these years after he quit. He is also a very stable man now.
