Kurt Angle is a WWE Hall of Famer and one of the most successful WWE wrestlers of all time. Kurt Angle was at one time the only Olympic Gold Medalist to be part of the WWE ranks. Kurt Angle made an easy transition from amateur wrestling to professional wrestling.
He was quite strong and was able to pull off power moves quite easily. Kurt Angle is now retired but he recently spoke to SPORTbible about his career. He believes that he was the best wrestler in the world for about 10 years.
Angle took part in a WWE tryout in 1998. WWE offered him a 5-year deal which he signed. He stated that he was the best wrestler from 2001 to 2011. "I picked up right away from day one. As a matter of fact, on my tryout the first bump I ever took, by the end of the day they signed me to a deal," Angle recalled.
"S---, I caught on fast. From 2001 to 2011 I was on fire; I was the best wrestler in the business for ten years. I started when I was 31, I'd say around 41 or 42 was when I started seeing my level and status going down slowly.
I was able to perform the way I wanted to until about 48." Kurt Angle wrestled his last match at WrestleMania 35. He wrestled the awesome Baron Corbin, but he lost the match.
