Seth Rollins on his upcoming Raw eight-man tag team match

In the episode of Raw on January 20th, Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy defeated the Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar) by conquering the Raw Tag Team Championship (for Rollins it is the sixth time). On January 26, at the Royal Rumble, Rollins participated in the homonymous match entering with the number 30 but was eliminated by Drew McIntyre.

In the January 27 episode of Raw Murphy and Rollins successfully defended the titles against Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. In the February 3 episode of Raw Rollins participated in a Triple Threat match that also included Bobby Lashley and Ricochet to determine Brock Lesnar's challenger for the WWE Championship at Super ShowDown but the match was won by Ricochet.

In a long interview with Sports Illustrated, he discussed his upcoming Raw eight-man tag team match: “I can’t say enough about my opponents for the match this upcoming Monday,” Rollins said. “You just spelled it out right there, but these are guys who are well accomplished, well-traveled, extremely talented, and they’re all hosses.

They’re all big boys. I’m looking at this as a coming-out party for our group. Those guys are established and everyone knows what they’ve done and what they’re capable of. For us, the writing is on the wall.

This is our first time together, so we need to look at it like this—if we don’t come through in the clutch, then people could lose faith in us”.
